Ferger Place has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Dept. of Interior

Ferger Place, Chattanooga, Tennessee
Morningside, Ferger Place gate
Ferger Place is Chattanooga's original subdivision of single-family homes dating back to 1900. It's located next to downtown on the south side of Main Street between Highland Park and Orchard Knob Avenues, is very convenient to schools, shopping, recreation and work, and is a ‘clean and simple’, ‘fine and private’ place to raise families in the urban surrounds. The Historic Organization of Ferger Place (HOFP) strives to maintain a friendly community and enhance home quality by maintaining the natural beauty of its private park, enabling neighborhood social and work-party gatherings, and ensuring a safe, clean, fun place for our residents, especially children.
